YEAR 2007
This year's New Year is kinda different from wad I had for the previous years. No more clubbing, partying, drinking and fagging thru' late nights. Wad I had this year, is wad I really hope to have for all the upcoming years. I'm just too old for the crowd I guess. *Shrugs*
Pot-luck session over at Winnie's house in the afternoon. Filled my stomach full of fried beehoon, sweet & sour chicken, curry puffs, otahs, spring rolls, fishballs and egg-tarts!! The amount of food was incredible!! Had been indulging in soooo many good food for the past few days, goodness!!
Had a small Mahjong and KTV session after the lunch, slacking around with brownies and fruits for desserts after the heavy meal. Drove Ming back home with his car as he was having fever and Boo back to get his own car instead. Back to Winnie's house in the evening for some small chats with her Uni friends.
Her dad suggested going down Clarke Quay for some beers and experience the atmosphere over there. However, the younger ones preferred chilling over tea and coffee instead!! Haha. So We decided to drive down to Kallang, with our leftover curry puffs, grapes, egg-tarts and BBQ pork slices along for a mini picnic session~!!
"Parked" our arses infront of the Kallang River, facing CosyBay on my left side and Suntec City directly infront of me. We presumed this would be the most ideal location to watch the fireworks and settled all our stuffs there.
Boo drove me and Judy down to Geylang to get some drinks and more food for the rest. Bought smelly-toufu from this so-called famous HK stall, beancurb, milk tea & coffee (I told you the younger ones preferred these) and mosquito coils back to our location. Boo had a hard time finding a parking lot this time round. Luckily we managed to find one when the clock strikes 11.15pm.
The crowd seems to get bigger when we were back there. Everyone was anticipating for the fireworks show to get started. Soon, we heard some 'banging' sound. THE FIREWORKS!!!! It was soooo magnificient and superb! I dunno abt last year's show, as this was the very first time I'm watching a live fireworks' show on NYE.
Filmed the whole thang down into my mobile. The experience for this year is wonderful. Watching fireworks with your good friends and their parents around, going around wishing everyone a happy new year thou' they are just strangers sitting there watchin' the fireworks and deep down in my heart wishing all my love ones staying healthy and happy for the new year ahead.
Lastly, I sincerely hope 2007 will be a much better year than 2006.
ps: Maybe this time round, I can be the first to say Happy New Year to you at Tsim Sha Tsui for 2008?? *Winkz*
