Singlish VS English.
damn it!! I was typing a freaking long entry and my com hangs!! Argh. I noe, my com sucks, wad else man. As I was saying, my mktg paper ends todae, and now I've 23 more days to mug for my last paper on d 10th june. Was having lotsa planning for these couple of days, before I'm gg into serious studying next mon. ktv, clubbing, dining with frens are all scheduled. I'm not gg to jux face my TV and lousy com for these few days man!
Really cant understand wadz ch 8 artistes doing in ch 5 programmes. Nope, I'm not toking bout Fiona Xie (opps!). I mean, its not dat you cant appear in ch 5 shows, but pls dun try to slang ur so called powderful english in the show. I really cant stand da way one tries to slang his/her english, esp. on english programmes.
Gosh! Even Patricia Mok is on ch 5 too! My Sassy Neighbour, a new sitcom. Ya, i can understand dat she's acting like a normal neighbour who speaks normal english. And its a local sitcom. But still, at least her real tone is muccccchhh beta than one who tries to slang. Nope, I'm not toking bout Fiona Xie (opps!!).
However, dere're still a few gd ones who're well-versed in both languages. Artistes like Joanne Peh, Tay Pinghui, Terence Cao, Diana Ser, Daniel Ong and even Carrie Chong shld be given some applause ya?
Alrite, so much of all these complaining (as if I can really speaks well). Frankly speaking, I dun look down on Singlish. Its' our way of communicating. A language dat belongs to all Singaporeans. Imagine you're in a foreign country with all d unfamiliar faces when suddenly one chap came up and say, "eh, you're from Spore oso huh? Same as me leh! wah, like dat oso can sia!"
Its a kinda bond dat you'll feel with one another. Get wad I mean? Nope? Forget it then. Continue with your "angmo-ish" slang then. Cant be bothered.
Tmr is Yu's adulthood!! 21st birthday!! woohoo!! Finally manz!! Anw, dis ger's mindset has already past 21. She's even more "matured" than me, hehez. Hope you'll enjoy urself tmr! Time to grow up, no more "split personality" next time, ya? =)
