Good food shldnt be wasted.
Had a sumptuous steamboat dinner over at my ex-colleague's (Joanne) new house. Kinda neat and nice. Quite cosy, not very spacious yet its a wonderful nest for the newly-wed. The usual gang was there, with a few "not-so-regular" ones.
We reached early to buy food and went over to help out with the preparation. The "minority" came, juz in time for the dinner. Laughter was filled all over the kitchen with our voices only be heard. The "minority", which I'll call them as The m(s) sat comfortably in the living room, enjoying the aircon and watching the wedding DVD.
Obviously, no help was provided to The "Majority", which i name them, The M(s). It was okie for The M(s) as they're alwayz the ones who had fun in everything they do. Dinner was ready and everyone practically aimed for the Tom-Yam side, rather than the chicken-soup side. I was all along observing The m(s), especially dat couple. They were rather quick in grabbing almost ALL the good food into their bowls. Eating away almost ALL of my favourite sashimi. Nevertheless, I'm still coolz with it.
Dinner was over and The m(s) started "shifting" themselves towards to the sofa. Plates and utensils left uncleared. Table was freaking oily and messy. It was then, The M(s) job again. Cleaning and more washing up has to be done. Still, I'm coolz with it. Dun really wanna be bothered bout all this issue. Life still continues, aniway.
Talking bout sumptuous meal, I'd wonderful meals recently. My gd fren, Joanne (which happens to have the same christian name), together with Jocelyn, Youjun, Grace and Darren brought me down for a nice supper last nite. First stop, Geylang. Tried the "you tiao da wang" which I've heard gd comments on dis name before. Nuting special with jux some "you tiao" and a bowl of
"dou hua". Joy ordered too many dishes which we had quite a hard time finishing all the food.
Next, frog legs porridge from Lorong 3. Din manage to try the Beef "horfan" from Lorong 9, since everyone was praising bout it too. Stomach was half filled, which I thot I can gobbled down another bowl of porridge. Grace and Darren left, leaving me and the rest. Four of us finished two pots of frog legs!! Stomach was oreadi bloated with all these sinful stuff. Jo suggested another round, over at Bedok since I haven tried the "ba-chor mee" before. Tempted me obviously. We were there, eventually. (sounds rhythm, ya?!)
Reached Bedok ard 1am and my eyes were oreadi half-shut. Had a tiring morning doing corporate rdshow with Travis. However, the "ba-chor mee" managed to captivate me. Joy ordered two bowls of mee, fried chicken wings, fried oyster with egg and otak-otak. Apparently, we only managed to finish the "ba-chor mee". My stomach was oreadi bloated till I started talking rubbish and telling lame jokes. My brain was dead for a moment. I was practically talking nonsense.
Reached home ard 3am. Tried to wash up immediately and jumped onto my bed, trying to shut my eyes. I CANT!! My freaking bloated stomach was giving me a hard time. I felt like vomitting, but i dint. I dun wanna waste my trip down to all these places. I tried so hard shutting my eyes till I gonna count the sheeps, till infinity.
Barely slept for 4.5hrs, I was awaken by my dad's voice. Dragged my body to sch, walking like a living-dead. My mind was blank and I've tried to keep myself awake for the lesson. I noe I'm not listening, but i'd tried. So hard till I nearly fell asleep with my eyes opened!!!
Datz how I spent my wonderful experience with my gd frens, thou I was kinda freaked out when I think of the food now. I hope for more nite outings soon, hehz. Maybe a chilling-out session at Fisherman Village? Dat might be quite coolz too. =)
TIME: 2309HRS.
