GIRAFFE RESTAURANT & BAR

Located right smack in the middle of the lovely Istana Park, this chic split-level restaurant is an architectural delight of glass, dark wood furniture and casual-chic décor touches. I've always wanted to try out the food here, while walking past the Istana which is directly opposite of the Giraffe restaurant and bar.

Giraffe specialises in international cuisine specialties. Tempt your taste buds with the British-Indian staple Mulligatawny Soup or Italian Black Ink Pasta.

The calamari shown above was just the appetiser. Taste was still okie. Not too oily and the calamari wasn't too "rubber-ish". However as compared to Fish & Co's, I'll still prefer the latter as I like the aftermath of garlic taste lingering in my mouth. *Grinz*

The Seafood Risotto. A type of Italian rice. Sauce was mildly spicy, but its' bearable. Seafood was quite fresh and the portion was just nice. However, there were too much onions added into the dish and if you're one of those "Anti-Onions" eaters, you might want to consider other dishes instead.

The Garlicky Chicken. Meat was very tender. Mixed garlic and chilli sauce was poured over the chicken. The sauce was sweet and sour and it adds an "asian flavour" to the chicken, with side dishes of potato wedges and grilled japanese cucumber with brinjals. A great fusion combination indeed.

And lastly, how can I end my meal without a nice cup of hot cafe latte?
