Double Bay - Australian Dining & Bar

A newly set-up dining place in Raffles City, but you might not be able to notice since it was not situated inside the mall.
Just walk to the back of the shopping mall, towards the exit to Raffles Hotel and you will be able to find this place. A stand-alone blue-ish "glass house" facade, a very nice and cosy ambience built.

Main purpose there was just to try out their fish and chips. The Australian Barramundi (with Sumac & Coriander batter).

The Australian sea-bass chosen supposed to be soft, white, less fatty and less flaky. Apparently besides being white, no consensus on the other descriptions made.
As for the fries, I felt that it was too chunky and hard. Lightly salted was good for health-conscious freaks, but it became too bland as an average.

Lemon Meringue pie was surprisingly a wow factor, as compared to their mains. Despite the failed apple meringue which I had in the previous entry, this was completely a different taste!
The meringue was spreaded on the pie itself, instead of oven-baking it. Hot burning flame lightly-blown to create the slightly-charred brown peaks on top. Thumbs up for the chef!
I love the perfect match of the zesty lemon pie with the sweet meringue cream to make it less over-powering. Good to have it either before or after meals and this dessert wasn't too heavy at all. Nice if you can topped it up with a glass of white wine too. Cheers!
