Astons Specialities, The Cathay

Judging from the long queues on every weekends, even weekdays during peak hours, I am sure many people are still very interested in this relatively-cheap and famous restaurant first started off in Katong.

With its fast expansion strategy, Mr Aston Soon (the Boss) has also decided to start off a new branch in the heart of the city.

After trying out the chicken and fish from the Katong branch, its' time to try out the beef.

Grilled to perfect charred on the outside and medium rare on the inside, the first look of this Prime Ribeye makes me wanna try out the meat as soon as possible!!

However with great disappointment, the ribeye wasn't done as perfect as it might seems to be. The meat was not as tender as I think and it was some-what fatty. The mushroom sauce provided was just average and it gets boring after eating half of the beef.

I guess maybe due to the huge crowd waiting outside, the chef was not really up to his standard yet. Well, let's give them the benefit of the doubt and I will visit again to prove it wrong, maybe?
