Fosters - The English Rose Cafe

Situated in the midst of Holland Village, Fosters English Rose Cafe is the place you would love to spend the lazy afternoon having a heart-to-heart talk with your friends over a pot of piping hot tea.

Served from 3pm to 6pm daily, they are famous for their Devonshire Cream Tea that consists of its' signature oven hot scones, finger sandwiches, fruit cakes and a choice of coffee or tea of your own.
The scones were quite buttery but not as tasty as it seems. Kinda' dry and the crust was too hard after it has been left on the plate for some time. Regardless how sinful it could be, the fresh cream and home-made strawberry preserve still makes the perfect match for the scone. This left the butter spread un-touched by all of us.

The Grilled Field Mushrooms was also another dish strongly recommended by my friend. And since most of us are mushroom lovers, we can't deny this is one of the best grilled mushrooms we've ever had!

Look at the photo and you can see how perfect the chef has cooked it without losing a single bit of its' original juice that oozes out in your mouth once your bite it! Awwwwwesomee!!!

As compared to the grilled ones, this Baked Mushrooms with Ham and Cheese wasn't really my type of food as I am not really a "cheesy" lover. =P

The mushrooms were also not as juicy since it has been oven-baked. Fortunately, the combination was still not too bad.

A very simple and plain Banana & Strawberry Crepe with Vanilla Ice-cream. No comments.
